A Japanese joint venture for domestically produced SAF was launched with an initial goal of 30,000 kiloliters a year

Cosmo Energy Group, JGC Holdings and REVO International established ‘SAFFAIRE SKY ENERGY’ to produce and supply cooking oil-origin sustainable air fuel (SAF). The new company is building the Japan’s first domestically produced system with an initial goal to supply 30,000 kiloliters a year in Japan.

Building of the SAF plant in the Cosmo Energy property in Osaka will start in the summer next year, and production is expected to start from late 2024 or early 2025. The plant also plans to produce bio-naphtha and bio-diesel, which are materials for bio-plastics.
