Airbnb Japan signed a partnership agreement with financial service provider Oriental Corporation (Orico) and unused house distribution platform ‘Akatsuki Navi’ to work together for renovation of abandoned houses.They aim to reuse abandoned houses as home-sharing properties.
If a Akatsuki Navi user renovates an abandoned house or purchase it for purpose of home-sharing, the user can have access to unsecured Home-Sharing Loan framework from a local bank, which is guaranteed by Orico.
The loans cover from 5 million JPY to 10 million JPY for the period between five years and ten years.
