Yusen Cruise, a Japanese leading cruise operator, names a new ship as ‘Asuka III,’ appealing as art museum on the sea

Yusen Cruise, a Japanese leading cruise operator, announced that a new 52,000 tons ship was named as ‘Asuka III.’ The largest cruise ship in Japan based in Yokohama Port will enter into the service in 2025.

One of the features is that the on-board interior will be decorated with Japanese traditional arts and crafts, as Yusen says it will be a moving art museum on the sea.

In addition, Asuka III will be the first eco-friendly ship in Japan powered by both LNG fuel and Shore Connection System. Yokohama City has a goal to become a zero-emission city in 2025.
