Air Asia X will restart serving four flights a week on the Kuala Lumpur- Sapporo route on December 3 2023 to meet growing inbound traveler demand to Hokkaido in the winter from Malaysia. The LCC will reduce to three flights a week after February 2024.
Hokkaido is a popular destination for Malaysians, as 21.1% of all Malaysian travelers to Japan visited Hokkaido in 2019. Air Asia X is trying to boost outbound travel demand from Hokkaido as well.
The flight schedules are as follows:
D7 551 from Sapporo at 9:40 to Kuala Lumpur at 17.20 on Mon., Wed., Fri. and Sun (until January 31 2024)
D7 551 from Sapporo at 9:40 to Kuala Lumpur at 17.20 on Mon., Wed. and Fri. (after February 1 2024)
D7 550 from Kuala Lumpur at 23:50 to Sapporo at 8:25 next day on Tue., Thu., Sat. and Sun. (until January 31 2024)
D7 550 from Kuala Lumpur at 23:50 to Sapporo at 8:25 next day on Tue., Thu. and Sun. (after February 1 2024)
