ANA carried 376,086 passengers on its international flights (+14.7%) on 451,530 available seats (+9.7%) during the 2016-2017 New Year holiday period (December 22 2016 to January 3 2017). The load factor was up 3.6 points year on year to 83.3%.
By destination, ANA increased passengers on the Europe routes by 22.3% year on year although it reduced available seats by 0.8% and the load factor was 85.2%. Also, passengers on the China routes increased by 28.3%, which was much higher than 9.3% increase in available seats, and the load factor was 75.1%. In reverse, reducing available seats by 1.5% on the North America routes, ANA reduced passengers by 6%. The busiest day for departures from Japan was December 29 with the load factor of 93.4%, and the busiest day for arrivals in Japan January 3 with 88.3%.
ANA succeeded in increasing domestic flight passengers by 6.6% to 1,796,689 on 2,413,518 available seats (-2.3%), the load factor was 74.6%, 3.6 higher points than a year ago. The high growths of passengers were particularly found on the Okinawa routes (+14.1%) and the Kansai routes (+9.5%). The busiest day for departures from Tokyo was December 29 with the load factor was 96.1%, and the busiest day for arrivals in Tokyo January 3 with 95.7%.
