WeChat Payment, one of the major China’s payment services, is available in part of shops in both domestic and international passenger terminals of Haneda Airport. The service can be used on WeChat, one of the most popular SNS apps in China with about 900 million users.
At the designated shops, a WeChat user can complete a payment procedure only by touching QR code or onetime password of a bank account on an exclusive terminal after starting up WeChat app, and payment is automatically withdrawn from an account.
The service is available at TIAT DUTY FREE SHOP CENTRAL in the international passenger terminal and five shops in the first domestic passenger terminal and two shops in the second domestic passenger terminal, and the service network will be extended step by step.
