Haneda is far ahead of other 57 domestic airports in terms of airport terminal sales in FY2014

Tokyo Shoko Research reported that sales of 58 major airport terminal companies in Japan increased by 12.3% year on year to 290.1 billion JPY in FY2014 ending March 31 2015. Among them, the top was Japan Airport Terminal handing the Haneda Airport terminals with annual sales of 141 billion JPY, which accounted for about half of the total.

Forty companies increased annual sales, and forty-seven companies resulted in capital adequacy ratios of over 50%. Only Fukushima Airport Terminal ended FY2014 with a current-account deficit following the last two years because the airport has reduced international flights since the nuclear accident in 2011.

The followings are top 10 airport terminal companies in annual sales:

The highest growth airport was Tajima Airport Terminal (+55%), which took over the terminal business from Hyogo prefecture in January 2015. The second highest growth airport was Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport (+37.9%) with increases in international charter flights and scheduled flights from China.

In terms of recurring income, the top was Japan Airport Terminal with 7,691 million JPY (+81.9%), followed by Fukuoka, Naha, Osaka International Airport Terminal (Itami Airport) and Hokkaido Airport Terminal.
