JAL will launch daily Haneda-Doha service on March 31 2024 as the first direct flights to Middle East city by a Japanese airline

JAL has decided to begin serving daily flights between Haneda and Doha, Qatar on March 31 2024. JAL will become the first Japanese airline serving direct flights to a Middle East city.

JAL will begin using the new aircraft A350-1000 on Haneda-Dallas/Fort Worth, Haneda-New York and Haneda-London routes in FY2024 in addition to the current JL6/5 New York flights.

On the domestic flight networks, JAL will increase flight frequencies on Haneda-Sapporo route from 16 return flights a day today to 17 return flights a day on March 31 2024 and upsize the aircraft to Boeing 787-8 on Haneda-Ishigaki route during August 2024  to meet growing leisure travel demand. Also, JAL will add one return flight a day to five return flights a day on Itami-Sapporo route on June 1 2024.
