Gomez, the internet quality measurement firm for both consumers and e-businesses powered by Morningstar, announced that jalan.net was the highest valued domestic accommodation booking site of Japan in the latest domestic accommodation booking site ranking, followed by JTB and ikyu.com.
The survey was based evaluations for about 200 items in the following categories: a site’s ease of use, quantity of information and contents, stability and reliability and convenient function and service.
jalan.net was top in the categories of a site’s ease of use and quantity of information and contents, and also a function of searching and booking multiple rooms in block, which is convenient for group travel, was highly valued.
JTB (domestic accommodation) was top in the category of convenient function and service, as its unique functions, such as posting of recommendations by accommodations or ranking information provided by the operator, were particularly valued. ikyu.com was valued for the site design fitted for its original concept and a search function using a map.
