Japanese overseas travelers seres still down 98.8% to 20,300 in July 2020, despite doubling from June

Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) announced that the number of Japanese overseas travelers was down 98.8% year on year to 20,300 in July 2020, doubling from 10,666 in June 2020.  The regular Travel Advice and Warning Level 2 (Avoid non-essential travel) all over the world for Japanese citizens was still maintained. 

According to OAG, an aviation date provider, international flight departures from six major airports in Japan (Narita, Haneda, Kansai, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo) were down 88.1% to 2,644 in July and available seats were also down 88.5% to 596,437.
