JTB signs an agreement with a major Japanese cruise operator to charter a new ship for 91-days world cruise for South America in 2025

JTB and MOL Cruises signed a partnership agreement for JTB to charter a new MOL cruise ship ‘MITSUI OCEAN FUJI’ for 91-days world cruise for South America departing on January 9 2025.

MITSUI OCEAN FUJI is a small luxury cruise ship with 229 rooms (up to 458 passengers). The world cruise will depart from Yokohama to stop by 19 cities in 14 countries.

JTB will offer 24 hours available booking and payment services on ‘JTB BÓKUN’ platform to passengers for excursion tours in calling cities. Also, JTB will develop adventure cruises touring remote small islands, taking advantage of the size of the ship.

For the cruise product, JTB will target not only Japanese travelers but also inbound travelers from Hong Kong, Taiwan or Singapore. Both of the companies will work together to develop ‘well-being of Japanese origin,’ which is one of the MITSUI OCEAN FUJI concepts, and to exploit not only FIT demand but also corporate demand for MICE opportunities.
