Narita achieved its first over 20 million passengers in the first half of FY2018

Narita International Airport managed 20,614,967 passengers in total in the first half of FY2018 ended June 30 2018, 4% more passengers than a year ago, achieving the record-breaking results for five half-years in a row. Also, international flight passengers were up 6% year on year to record-high 17,108,818. Domestic flight passengers were down 5% to 3,506,149.

Aircraft movements totaled 124,931 (+1%) including 99,630 for international flights (+3%). Both of the results were record-high for three half-years in a row.

Kansai International Airport also increased half-year passengers by 12% year on year to 14,955,060 in total, which consisted of 11,597,181 international flight passengers (+16%) and 3,357,879 domestic flight passengers (+2%).

Aircraft movements totaled 95,328 (+6%), including 71,336 for international flights (+9%).
