JR West, a railway company of Japan, has begun connecting online and ticketless booking services ‘Express Booking’ and ‘Smart EX’ with the route search on Apple Map.
A user can book Shinkansen seats on Tokaido, Sanyo and Kyushu Lines on the EX Service log-in screen shifted from 'Get a ticket’ on Apple Map if search results include the Shinkansen Lines.
To use the service, a user needs registration to JR West’s EX Service.
