
Japanese travelers to Hawaii in 2015 slightly reduced by 0.4% year on year to 1,505,600, though those increased by 3.8% to 130,400 in December 2015, according to Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT). In contrast, Japanese travelers to Okinawa were up 1.6% to record-high 6,261,800, according to Okinawa Prefecture.
