Hoshino Resorts, a Japan’s hotel chain, has started selling an unique stay plan without a smartphone, named ‘No Smartphone Stay,’ at its causal brand ‘BEB’ particularly targeting young guests. Hoshino proposes no-digital life experiences for guests to enjoy staying with friends more intimately.
When you arrive at the hotel, you seal your smartphone in a box and check in with a paper profile instead of usual QR code. It is a limited plan for a room a day. A box to seal smartphone and a set of notebooks are provided.
