ipet Insurance’ survey finds that 63% of dog owners hope to travel together with their dogs. Including cat owners, the ratio was 40%. However, the ratio of owners who are eager to travel with their pets (except owners who want to if possible) reduced to about 10% of all.
The insurance company said that the biggest challenge may be higher accommodation cost in traveling with pets.
The survey results show that more than 40% of pets owners had increased expenses on pets in the last year, and the ratio was 10 higher points than the last year. The highest percentage of annual pets-related expenses was 32.6% of ’100,000 yen to 200,000 yen’ for dog owners and 38% of ’50,000 yen to 100,000 yen’ for cat owners.
