30% of business travelers spend one or more hours in booking their business trips

AI Travel, a cloud-based business travel booking provider, conducted a survey on business travel booking and expense adjustment. The result illustrates that about 60% book their business travels by human, and about 30% need one or more hours to complete bookings.

The most-used booking way is ‘on paper (25.1%),’ followed by ‘verbally (22.3%)’ and ‘e-mail or chat (11.7%),’ all of which are still human-based booking ways. The survey result also shows that the ratio of repayment later or advanced payment is 61.2%, which represents that many business travelers book their travels individually.

In terms of the time spent for booking, the ratio of 30 minutes to one hour is 37.5%, followed by 28% for one hour or more.

The most troublesome thing to do is to take a long time to find eligible conditions (31.4%), followed by to take a long time to find accommodation allowing for corporate regulations and to take a long time to find transportation.

The survey was conducted to 25 to 50 years old businesspersons in the period between March 12 and 14 2019. Valid answers were 538.
