Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China reveals visa wavier has given a big impact to the inbound travel market, increasing foreign visitors by 39% in December

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China said at a news conference on December 5 that they continue coordinating the visa policy to promote cross-boarder travel, according to Reuters. 

The visa wavier has been in effect for France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Spain and Malaysia since December 1 2023, and for the first three days, about 7,000 out of all travelers of about 18,000 from those countries entered China without visas.

The average number of travelers from those countries for the first three days of December increased by 39% compared to the last day of November.
